Christian
Brunner, born in
Zurich, is the author's godson and
has always been interested in all
kinds of visual communications: Starting
with cartoons, animations and comics
- strongly encouraged by his godfather
- then film, photography, graphics
and design, he went on to study architecture.
The collaboration as illustrator for
his godfather dates back to his student
days at the Federal Institute of Technology
ETH Zurich.
Meanwhile, Christian Brunner is married,
lives and works in Zurich, running
his own architecture practice and
teaching as an assistant at the ETH
Zurich.
Comics and illustrations of all kinds
remain one of his preferred means
of communication.

Christian
Brunner, geboren
in Zürich, ist der Patensohn
des Autors und von klein auf an allen
verschiedenen Arten der visuellen
Kommunikation interessiert: Zunächst
Trickfilme und - mit lebhafter Unterstützung
seines Paten - Comics, kam er über
Film, Fotografie, Grafik und Design
zur Architektur.
Die Zusammenarbeit als Illustrator
für seinen Patenonkel stammt
aus seiner Studienzeit am Departement
Architektur der ETH Zürich.
Inzwischen ist Christian Brunner verheiratet,
lebt und arbeitet als selbständiger
Architekt in Zürich und unterrichtet
als Assistent an der ETH Zürich.
Comics und Illustrationen aller Art
sind nach wie vor eines seiner bevorzugten
Kommunikationsmittel.

Christian
Brunner, né
à Zurich, est le filleul de
l'auteur et a depuis tout petit été
intéressé à toutes
sortes de communications visuelles:
D'abord ce furent les dessins animés
et les bandes dessinées - fortement
encouragées par son parrain
- ensuite c'était le film,
la photographie, les graphiques qui
l'ont finalement mené jusqu'à
l'architecture.
La collaboration comme illustrateur
pour son parrain remonte à
ses jours d'étudiant d'architecture
à l'école polytechnique
fédérale EPF Zurich.
Entre-temps, Christian Brunner est
marié, habite et travaille
à Zurich comme architecte indépendant
et comme assistant enseignant à
l'EPF Zurich. Les bandes dessinées
et les illustrations de toutes sortes
restent l'un de ses moyens de communication
préférés.
